CHILI CRISP LABEL
Viridian is a downtown Oakland bar that celebrates Asian culture & flavors in what feels like a moody Hong Kong night.
their innovative chef, Kevin Tang, put together an addictive chili crisp that needed a packaging.
Anyone who grew up eating Lao Gan Ma brand chili crisp knows to trust the woman soberly staring at you on the bottle. to honor this matriarch of spice, i designed a referencial label that features chef Kevin Tang as her disciple.

LUCKYDUCK BICYCLE CAFE
GRAPHIC TEE
Luckyduck Bicycle Cafe is a coffee & bike repair shop in Oakland. the owner was hankering for some new merch as another source of income, during peak Covid years.
i wanted to design a graphic that appealed to his existing customer base: young, active, sometimes punk, sometimes queer, always community-oriented people.
thus, i came up with this double-breasted rubber duck in a loose, bubbly hand to speak to the brand, without feeling like a billboard for the cafe.
